About

Isabelle Booker, Physiotherapist and Pilates teacher

I trained as a physiotherapist at Sheffield Hallam University, subsequently working in both the NHS and private practice. I currently have a clinic in nant Peris near Llanberis but also offer home visits and online appointments. I also occasionally see patients at Becon Climbing Centre and Indy Climbing Wall.  I specialise in diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal problems such as sciatica, shoulder pain and tendinopathy. I work with a range of clients from office workers to triathletes and climbers.

After moving into private practice, I completed my training as a Pilates teacher through the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute, the leading provider of Pilates training to physiotherapists. There is a strong link between Pilates and physiotherapy, and my job in both involves helping people to move and feel better.

Physio Led Pilates

Physio led Pilates is a modified version of the traditional Pilates series. We begin by building a strong foundation. The original exercises are broken down into progressive levels of difficulty so that you can continue to improve and grow stronger. Physio led Pilates enables you to develop awareness of your posture and how to engage your core muscles, both whilst exercising and during every day activities.

You will be working hard, but you can be sure that you are in safe hands if you have an injury or health condition that limits your ability to exercise. Class sizes are small, ensuring that you get lots of attention.
