Providing expert, personalised, holistic care and advice for people who work and play in the outdoors
I am a chartered Physiotherapist who specialises in treating people who work and play in the outdoors.
I work with a range of clients from office workers to triathletes and climbers.
I believe in evidence based practice, so I recommend treatments that are proven to work. I support you throughout your recovery process and will recommend the best course of action, which may include follow up appointments, massage and other manual therapies.
I am passionate about helping you to find effective solutions for managing your injuries and helping you to return to work and sport as quickly as possible.
I’m a chartered physiotherapist with a passion for outdoor sports. I’m a keen climber, mountain biker and runner and also enjoy cold water dipping.
I’m here to help you get out of pain and back to doing what you love.
I believe strongly in finding the root cause of your problem – if you just treat the symptoms, the problem will return.
I work with you, taking a holistic approach, looking at aspects such as posture, technique and training load. Because I take this approach, my clients often report that they feel stronger than they were prior to becoming injured. This is always nice to hear!
As an outdoor sports enthusiast and former outdoor instructor, I have lived experience of the challenges facing people who place high demands on their bodies in an outdoor environment. I have many years’ experience of helping my clients overcome serious injuries and return to work and sport. As an adventure sports specialist, I have in depth knowledge of the unique injuries encountered in sports such as climbing and fell running and mountain biking, and can support you all the way back to full function and beyond.
John Farrar2024-07-10 To Isi with long term lower back pain. After a thorough questioning with recommendations for exercises came a very effective hands-on session on my lower back. The exercise programme was also sent to me by email. Overall a great help and highly recommended. Dawn Brown2024-06-18 I was recommended Isi Booker Physio. The remote appointment worked really well and so convenient. Isi was very professional, easy to understand, and very helpful. I will definitely continue using Isi Booker Physio... thanks Isi 😊 Ailsa Newcombe2024-05-13 I took my daughter to see Isi after a finger injury threatened to derail her climbing competition training. A comprehensive consultation and the follow up exercises soon sorted it out and she was also given some long term exercises for her warm up routine that are specific to her needs which we would never have thought of using otherwise. It helps that Isi climbs herself and so understands how and where climbing stresses our bodies. Bethan Percy2024-05-11 Isi quickly worked out what was wrong with my shoulder and it was feeling much better after just one session. I would highly recommend her. TK2024-05-09 Massive improvement to my injured shoulder following Isi's shoulder classes at the Beacon. Highly recommended, thanks! Andy Teasdale2024-04-12 I've been going to the shoulder conditioning sessions with Isi at the Beacon for the last few weeks. It's been great. I have no real shoulder niggles, but I can feel the benefit of the mobility, stabilising and conditioning training that Isi puts us through. I'd highly recommend this to climbers, or anyone who needs strong, well maintained shoulders!! Thanks Isi. Mark Richards2023-11-08 Easy to book, excellent service and advice.
